I recently fell in love with a new artist - or what I thought was a new artist. The song that caught my attention started playing on the radio recently (First Day of my Life, sung by Garou) and I just had to look up the artist on iTunes and download the music. Much to my surprise, I discovered that this was actually a Québec artist, and that he hailed from Sherbrooke (my home town) no less. I guess I must have heard him sing in French before, but never really paid much attention - probably because nothing caught my attention. But this song did - I just can't hear it often enough. It's a cover version, but it's beautifully done. So, if you haven't heard of Garou, look him up - it's worth it.
