I've been so busy this week that I only got to watch American Idol after 11pm. How could I miss round 1 of the live section of the show? If I am yawning at work today, it may have a bit to do with going to bed after midnight 2 nights in a row...
It should be easy to pick out the 3 top contestants - or so I thought - I had 2 of them right, the 3rd being a bit of a toss up. My number one choice for now is definitely the widower Danny Gokey - his voice is hauntingly beautiful, and what about those funky glasses! Second runner up and very close behind is the pretty little Alexis Grace with her pink streaks. She really wowed me with her stage presence and her voice on Wednesday night. Both were picked in the top 3 last night - no surprise there. I thought for sure that the crooning voice of Ricky Braddy would earn him the 3rd spot - but no, he got voted out and Micheal Sarver the big hunky roughneck got him. Well, good for him! I am delighted that crazy Tatianna was voted off. She has a nice voice, but what a flake! And that dress! Wednesday, she looked like a piniata! Bye bye Tatianna!
So far so good, it's still early in the game - hopefully next week I will be able to watch the show a little earlier....
