Tits in the ringer (ouch!)

I wrote this blog on paper .... here is the original version as I wrote it:

I am writing this blog while sitting in the waiting room at the Pointe-Claire Radiology Clinic for a routine mammography. I've had one every second year since I turned 40. This is definitely not the highlight of my day, but ----oops, they are calling my name...later...Wow, how efficient! My appointment was at 1pm and at 1:10 pm I am back in the waiting room (feeling somehow flatter ;o)) waiting for the films to be developed. In a few minutes, the technician will give me the OK to leave. That wasn't so bad, a few minutes of terrible discomfort and now, hopefully, a couple of years away from this place. It's 1:15 and I am given the OK to leave. I'm outta here!

So there it is, a moment in the life of a typical woman. Mammographies are never fun, but can save lives. With a proper appointment, it is done and over with in 15 minutes - there is no excuse for anyone to avoid this preventive measure.

I said it was definitely not the highlight of my day, but actually, nothing of interest happened the rest of the day - it was just work, work, work, drive home, go to bed real early cause I am coming down with a cold. Is it spring soon?

  1. I wonder why my doctor hasn't yet told me to get my boobs flattened in a machine. She does a manual exam, mind you. And no discomfort is involved, as long as you can ignore the fact that a woman is feeling you up.

  2. You should ask her to refer you for one - especially with you family history....Never hurts to prevent!
