This morning as I was lost amidst a myriad of cars crawling on Autoroute 10 near the approach to my exit, I caught a flutter out of the corner of my eye, and woke up out of my "stuck in traffic stupor" to see my niece waiving at me from her car in the next lane. It's not a big thing, but it brought a big smile to my face. All of a sudden, I wasn't just another statistic on the road, I was someone, and someone else had acknowledged me.
