American Idol - another round

Last year I "discovered" American Idol. It's only the most watched show on TV, so I was bound to hear about it sooner or later. The reason why I was able to get into it was my fancy new Videotron Illico recorder - which tapes the episodes so I can watch them whenever I feel like and zip quickly through the millions of ads. Can't live without that machine now...

American Idol 8 started last night and it promises to be another season that will make me sit down and follow the paths of the contestants to the end. I laughed with hilarity at the obvious lack of talent and weirdness of the new contestants - those first episodes are so funny. How can someone who can't even carry a tune figure that they have a snowball's chance in hell of making it on American Idol. Well, it makes for entertaining television - they get their few minutes of fame (or shame) and we get to laugh. The guy last night with the ultra low voice was hilarious, and the bikini girl - what a number! Some people will do anything! I look forward to tonight's episode.
