I feel a little rant coming on....

My drive to work usually takes me 40 minutes. No traffic stress, mainly fields, and highway, but the last 2 weeks, my daily commute (especially in the morning) has been extremely frustrating. I get off the Eastern Township Autoroute at exit 8 (8 kilometers before Montreal) Most mornings, (till recently) the traffic for the Champlain bridge starts where I get off. Last week, with the deep freeze, many accidents on the bridge and beyond caused the traffic to grind to a full stop about 1 kilometer from my exit. It took me over 1/2 hour to travel that kilometer to my exit and move on to my place of work. The first time this happened, I figured it was a one time deal - but I was stuck in that final stretch of the highway just about every day last week. No matter how much earlier I left - I still got stuck. This morning, the traffic started even further back. It took me over 2 hours to get to work, most of it spent within a few kilometers of my destination. ARGHH! All it takes if for a few snowflakes, cold weather - I don't know....

That's it! I will now leave the house at 6:30 AM. If I get to work before 7:30, then good for me, I will leave earlier in the afternoon. Now all I have to do is work up the energy to get up early enough. I guess it's a small price to pay to avoid the parking lot conditions I have been experiencing lately.
