Made it to work ahead of schedule (yeah!) but the morning just flew by. Here I am, once again eating lunch at my desk while blogging.I've been ever so good about brown-bagging my lunches so far this year (yeah - I know, we are only 12 days into the new year and this is my 6th day at work, but still....)
I read in the paper this morning that despite the cold which seems to envelop all of the northern hemisphere - (Europe is freezing to death) we are still experiencing global warming. At this rate, especially after the cool summer we had, I find it hard to reconcile the facts about global warming and the reality of the cold weather outside. Somehow, I can't help but think that if I am having a hard time, so must a gazzillion others - which I guess doesn't help with all the awareness programs set in place to help fight against the greenhouse effect. It's a bit like the gas prices. Once prices dropped to a more reasonable rate (like 75 cents per liter) I didn't feel the urgent need to exchange my SUV with a smaller car so acutely. I figure most SUV owners probably feel the same way at this point. I will change my car, but not until the lease it up - so there.
Now I need to wash my plastic container and put it in the recycling. Global warming or not, we don't need plastics in our landfills.
