Quiet Sunday

I am writing this blog from La Scrapbookerie, where I am spending the afternoon moonlighting as a sales clerk. It's really quiet today, seems like everyone is sleeping in - especially since we lost an hour during the night. I had enough time to create a birthday card for my sister - and then then true to form, clients started to materialise about 1 hour later than usual.

I always get new clients on Sundays. People who heard of us but never shopped before and are now investigating the store. They don't always buy, but inquire about courses and scrapbooking in general. I give them all my attention and my sunniest smile. Never hurts to be nice - and I want them to come back!

I wonder what my boss would think if he saw his company controller playing store clerk on Sundays, not that it's any of his business, but I'm glad he doesn't scrapbook!

Keith left for Maine this morning, not long after I took off for Granby, he's going to be navigating winding country roads with his gargantuous truck - and I'm glad that the weather is cooperating.

Sorry this blog is a bit disjointed - I wrote in in between clients. It's five o'clock (feels like 4...) time to go home.
