I burned my fingers on my curling iron this morning. Probably because I never use a curling iron - probably because until now I never had to! Last Saturday, I had my hair cut. This is not something I did on a whim - I had not had my hair cut for almost 2 years. Why? Because I hated my last hair cut and I needed it to grow out. This time, armed with a picture of what I wanted, I took the chance to try again. It's not complicated - just a below the chin bob - long enough to put up with my usual hair clip, but short enough to be able to wear it loose once in a while. The time I spend with my hair in the morning is approximately 5 minutes. Blow dry upside down, twist, clip and off I go. But no more.... I hate my new haircut! It's so different than the picture. Why can't my hairdresser give me what I want! Now I have no choice but to wear it tied back all the time because it looks so stupid loose. And I will have to wait at least another year for it to grow out. When I am ready for another hair cut - I will go back to my former hairdresser Ella in Montreal - now, she really knows how to cut hair.
At least, people around me can't really tell - since it is up in it's usual style, but when I let it down at the end of the day - yuck... just a plain bad haircut. I will NEVER let this hairdresser approach me with scissors again!
Since other people have only seen it up, as usual, have you actually asked around to see what people think of it loose?
ReplyDeleteI feel for you. My latest stylist is fast and cheap - but her cuts look like crap one week later. Not a sign of a good haircut. However, now I'm getting desperate so I'm going to have to go see her soon.
On a brighter note, today I bought sunglasses, expensive nail polish and cheap jewelry, so all is more or less right in my world.
