Last Saturday was Earth Day. We all heard about it on the news, read about it in the newspaper, and discussed it at work. We all agreed that it was a noble cause, and on Saturday night, we celebrated the hour by shutting down our computers (we have 5 in our home running all the time - you'd think we were a company!) and all other electrical gadgets, as well as all our lights. K lit a couple of candles, and we sat back on the sofa to relax for an hour with light conversation. Well, the light conversation must have been very light cause we both fell asleep within minutes. At 10:30, our doggies woke us up, reminding us that they needed to go outside. So, once the doggies had done what they do before going to bed, we simply strolled upstairs to continue our sleep. What party animals! Not only that, but I slept in until 8:30 the next day. I must have been tired.....
Glad Earth Hour was a success - there are a lot of nice pictures taken from all around the world of the lights going out. I think in Farnham the only lights that went out was ours!
Earth "Day" itself is April 22.
ReplyDeleteI went to bed early, too... at 7:55. Was asleep before 9. Then again, Saturday nights are always a bust at my place.
