Well - if sunshine & warm weather is what will cure me - then after a gorgeous day like today - I should be in top shape. We all had a decent night sleep - despite the coughs and all an woke up refreshed and ready to face the day. Not hard to face a sunny warm beautiful day full of promise! We spent the morning in downtown Disney World and bought some souvenirs - then a 45 minute stint in the sun around the pool - a quick lunch and then we started our shopping for the business. It's supposed to be work - but we so enjoy it that it feels like a holiday! Today was 2 VIP events back to back - that's were the suppliers hold a private pre-view party for their VIP clients (that would be us) and give them a chance to put our orders in before the show starts - we get fed, and receive samples and gifts - all of which we love. The food is good and we LOVE the freeby samples and goodies because we give them all out to our clients during our own special events (like Esterel). At the end of the day, we were stuffed and tired and now my voice is totally gone (due to excessive coughing). But not a problem, I'm in a room with 3 other girls, there's still plenty of talking going on :o)
With plenty of that awful Buckleys syrup in my belly and some extra-strength Tylenol nightime cold remedy I should be able to sleep and be rested up for a full day at the covention center tomorrow. The center is enormous and we will be walking for miles - there are over 500 different suppliers vying for our attention and our credit card number - we have to be choosy and get only the hottest and prettiest trends. More than ever - I feel that the future of our business depends on our purchasing choices - huh - no pressure....
