I spent Monday & Tuesday chained to my desk trying to finish my month end before leaving for the Salon Brico Expo in Laval tomorrow. Today was the store run, so I spent the evening chained to my desk and missed American Idol. (it's taped - I'll catch up later....)
The Salon is a trade show for hobbyists and we have a booth there. We will be really really busy for 3 days, as I have kept the booth personel down to a minimum, and Claire, Micheline, Keith &Jacques & I will handle the brunt of the work with a couple of my part-timers coming in during the day. We really need the exposure at this time of the year to remind people that we are there. It's a form of advertisement that can be profitable, providing we don't have a snowstorm during the weekend. With the record breaking snowfalls we have had all winter - I wouldn't be surprised!
Tomorrow is set up day. I've rented a room at a hotel in Laval - with he price of gas the way it is - it's no use travelling back & forth from Farnham to Laval (in traffic) when we can share a hotel room. The days will be long - 9AM to 10PM - so I will be glad not to have a long car ride to deal with. I can just crash in my no-tell motel...who knows - maybe I will have a minute to update my blog....
