Every morning I wake up and wonder what great things are in store for me today. Seriously - I always ask myself that question and hope for the best.  Great things haven't been in my karma this past winter as each day brought only ice (slipped and hurt my back - twice) toothache (witch resulted in a root canal treatment - the biggest ache came from the void it left in my bank account) sad news almost daily ( deaths, separations, miscariage), overwork (sick assistant who I had to fill in for) etc..   March finally rolled in, phew! Let's move on and expect great things this month! Too bad it didn't  start on as fine a note as I wished. My dysfunctional filing cabinet had it in for me on March 1st - it sliced  my little finger and I spent the whole afternoon at the hospital waiting to get stitches.  This certainly wasn't helpful with my work overload - nor pleasant, but it could have been worse. The staff at the hospital where more than pleasant and treated me as the most important patient of the hour.  I guess it really helped that we were in the middle of a snow storm (although it made getting there and back really scary - yes, I drove myself in) because the waiting room was half empty -otherwise I would have waited much longer. Now I have this big bulky bandage on my finger which makes it harder to type, but my finger survives and so will I.   At least I got my filing cabinet fixed, and that's a good thing.

Now, what great things are in store for me today?

  1. Funny how we always wait for an accident to happen to get our things fixed! At least it made them move on to get that file cabinet repaired. Too bad about your finger. Take it easy and have a great week! Claire
