Yesterday, my cold took a definite turn for the worse, and I finally decided to seek medical attention. Easier said than done when you don't have a family doctor. I went to our local CLSC this morning armed with a good book - and waited a mere 3 hours to be seen for a brief 5 minutes by what seemed to be a competent MD who diagnosed me with Bronchitis right away (not really surprising since I had ALL the textbook sympthoms -- I could have told him what I had, but they don't like it when people self diagnose). I got what I had been waiting for all this time - a prescription for antibiotics and some effective cough syrup. There is a light at the end of the tunnel - lets hope those antibiotics work!
Thank goodness for the book - I almost finished it in the waiting room and will now go and curl up on the sofa in the reading room wrapped up in a blanket and finish my book. What is it?
The Subtle Knife, book 2 to the Golden Compass Series - really good reading! Keith got me the trilogy for Christmas when I say the trailer for the movie and said - hey, the book's always better. It is! Well, I haven't seen this movie yet, but I am glad to have the books.
