Ok - so it's the New Year....

2010 - (twenty ten) rolls off the tongue a lot better than 2009 - and it will hopefully be a better year for many of us. We've all had it up to here with the Recession, H1N1, and whatever scandal the celebrity of the day is up to. Time for new scandals, new flu bug scares, and time for an up-swing in the economy and an end to all wars. Right.

I am making a little list of things that I personally want in 2010 - not really a list of resolutions, but I suppose that to get what I want, I have to make a commitment of sorts...and the first step towards realizing my goals is to share them, so here goes...

1. My first goal is to end the year still working at the same job and still liking it.

2. My second goal is to end the year still living at the same address with my family and still liking them! ;o)

3. Third, end the year fit and strong - with maybe few pounds less - which means, don't stop running!

4. Have a great 35th wedding anniversary with Keith.

(so far so good - should be easy to do... now the next part will require a lot more effort)

5. This is the year were I want to redo my kitchen - I so desperately NEED a new kitchen!

6. This year I want to repaint the bedrooms upstairs and change the carpets. (not as urgent as the kitchen and way less expensive - so these may come first... but I want the kitchen more)

7. This year, I would like to go to the cottage more often (even though I realize that I can't have 5 & 6 if I am always at the cottage - but since I only went twice last summer for an afternoon each time - it won't be hard to go "more often".

8. This year, I want to actually do something with all the photos in my computer - I need to get them printed - this is the year I plan on doing it....or at least get started.

9. This year, I desire a small tattoo like my sister in law Maureen had done on her ankle - I just feel too chicken for it at the moment; still, I chose to put it in my wish list - so maybe....

10. Last - this year, I would love to go to at least 1 concert - I love concerts, but never seem to find time or money to go - so I need to commit to at least 1 concert per year - starting with 2010.

That's it! Oh yes, I forgot... like all of you - I want to win the lottery - this might require I purchase a ticket once in a while - so I'll try to remember to do that.

For all of you readers - I wish only the very best in 2010!

Happy New Year!

  1. I don't know about the other thingson your list, but I do know about a couple...

'9' was no biggy...get one!....just an hour of constant stinging...but well worth the end result....I am already planning #2.

'10' is now a constant for me...lots of music and concerts...which I have always loved

HNY 2010..hope all of your desires and wishes come true.
