Thinking of Christmas...

This is a first! I actually started my Christmas shopping! Every year, since I can remember, Christmas shopping is something i start thinking about in December, and usually start doing something about it around the 15th of December. But this year, well, I guess old habits can change. I found 2 terrific gifts and rather than just making a note of them as in (...must remember to buy that in December)I actually bought them. And now I vow to get out the Christmas wrapping paper and wrap them immediately (for fear that may I decide I want them for me instead).

Working for a publishing company, I have access to tons of children's books (we unfortunately specialize in children's books only)and this means that all my grand nephews and nieces including my granddaughter will be getting books for Christmas. I already have 2 shelves of them at home ready to wrap. This is so much fun - all I need to worry about is which book or books will go to whom.... Got to make a list - there are 30 great-grandkids on my side of the family alone!

I still haven't decided what exactly we are doing at Christmas, but I am starting to know what I am giving - and that makes it something to look forward to.
