Yesterday, I read someting on my sil's blog that stayed in my mind as I was falling asleep. She was talking about the constant roar all around - neighbours with power tools, barking dogs etc...
As I lay in bed next to the open window,it came to me that there was a roar in Farnham, even in the dead of night! You don't hear it in the day because it is buried in the daily roar of living - radio, conversations etc... but it is always there in the background. What is it? It's the falls - we live right next to a river - The Yamaska river - and about 2 blocks from our home,there is a dam and a rather large waterfall that rushes down every minute of every day. Amazing how I hadn't really noticed the roar from my window at night until yesterday. Thanks Mau!
See! You have a roar too......but on the water, there is no roar.....that's why we love to sail.
