When I logged in to my blog to write Lady's obit, I was shocked to realize how long it had been since my last blog. A whole season has gone by and not a word from me. It's amazing anyone is still checking in! So, to get the ball rolling again, I thought I'd go over that list of lofty goals I set out for myself and see how it's going after 3 months (see the January 4th blog).
1) Yup - still at the same job - loving it even more.
2) Yup - still at the same address, but to be totally honest, I did move from my original little apartment to a much better apartment in St-Timothé a couple of weeks ago. At least I am containing my gypsy tendencies to my secondary residence (for now). If you have no clue what this is about - you have to go back to my December 22nd blog. The little basement apartment had little in the way of charm, and when something better came available - I did not hesitate to move on. This current place is adorable - tons of charm and it's much bigger too.
3) Indeed, I do weigh a few pounds less then I did in January - I ran every week outside in the snow, the ice, the rain, sleet, wind - all through the winter and I am very pleased with myself. (this is where I take a big bow)
4) Wedding anniversary only in August - but it's still on...
5) Ok - this is were things start falling apart - haven't done a thing about my new kitchen - except clean it. Still hoping though....and bonus - it's clean!
6) The painting upstairs will probably happen this summer during our vacation... I hope.
7) Haven't been to the cottage yet this year - but plan on it at Easter at the annual Partie de Sucre.
8) Haven't touched my photos yet except backing them up - at least they will be intact should something happen to my computer. But the year is not over....
9) Tattoo? What the heck was I thinking? No way! David just got 3 new tattoos, and man, did it ever look painful! I am just not enough of a masochist for this. Scratch this one off!
10) Haven't been to a concert yet this year - but like I said, the year is still young - plenty of time....
Winter was busy - more of a blur of activity. I spent the first 3 months of my new job with my sweet little Lady at my side. She quickly became the mascot of the office. It makes her passing all the more painful, but she left me with many happy memories. When I think of her now, I imagine her running in fields with her original namesake, a golden retriever who lived next door named Lady - who we also loved.
And now spring is here (at least the calendar says so - even if the weather doesn't) - I will not wait till summer to blog again - promise!
nice blog
