Christmas in Farnham

We had a beautiful Christmas in Farnham! Both boys were present, and Brian & Maureen joined us for the occasion. It was just a quiet, happy family moment. We had our turkey dinner on Christmas Eve because David got a job as a security guard (a temporary job) and was starting at midnight on Christmas Eve. He pulled a 24 hour shift - and boy, was he glad to get home last night at midnight! Keith, Patrick & I delivered him some lunch on Christmas day - some hot turkey soup & homemade chocolate chip cookies and that cheered him up. On Christmas morning, I went for a nice long run outside and it really felt good - but it won't pay for all my cookie indiscretions! I'll be running for a couple of months to spend those extra calories!

Brian & Mau are great guests - they seem to fit in so nicely - almost as if they were frequent visitors, yet they only visit occasionally. It was really nice having them over. Maureen is really a closet dog person - but she will never admit it! Lady seems to have fallen for Brian - or maybe it's because he was secretly feeding her crumbs at the table.. Both dogs seem a little sad now - like they have lost a friend, but they will perk up soon enough...

  1. We miss you guys already. You are great hosts, but even though we are 'staying' at your house, it feels like we live there! It's a nice, comfortable feeling that we get. We can be away from you for awhile, but as soon as we all get together, it is like we were never separated.

Give the puppies hugs from us (especially from me). xx

  2. p.s. - thanks for the scrapbookerie re-plenishment....I have been organizing my new loot, and even had a chance to use some of it.
